Wake Up!

Wake Up!

Kick off the covers and get out of bed
Throw some water on your face.
Pour some caffeine down your gut
we're not alone, wake up!

Open the blinds of your dark inner mind
And hear the voice within
Heed the whisper, answer the call
We're not alone, wake up!

A cautionary tale:
Once there was a planet
a planet so beautiful and blue
but the people on it
shat upon it
and didn't give a hoot.
This went on for many, many years
until they all died.
Now we have, floating in space,
An empty, toxic ball of crap.

It's getting harder to breathe the air
The gasoline smell is everywhere
We're 6 billion stinkers and counting
We're not alone, wake up!

Brother aliens and sister angels
Waiting for us to grow up.
Boys and girls, guess what?
We're not alone, wake up!
