What Can We Take With Us?

non-existent soul. In which case there would be no continuation, Game Over.
What would be the minimum requirement for continuation of life? No matter how maliciously evil a person may have been, it may have been due to the result of environmental circumstances. So after being re-educated, as long as there is remorse and a sincere desire to participate in the eternal plan, to do the Creator's will, to learn from experience and follow the light, a way will be found. A person who has totally negated all urges to follow the light, has made iniquitous decisions consciously and repeatedly and has no remorse or regret may be lost. But in the infinite mercy of the First Source and Center, a second chance should never be counted out.
A person that is dripping with evil, a maliciously wicked person who has committed the most horrible crimes against women, children and people in general may seem undeserving of God's love and mercy. The victims and families of the victims would deem the most severe retribution and punishment as justifiable. They would agree with taking an eye for an eye and even more. But should such final judgments be allowed beings with limited vision and imperfect understanding?
No. Within human society, humans must be the judge in order to keep order within our society, but in the universal family of  which God is the father, only he can make the ultimate call. Only he has the infinite wisdom and perfection of understanding to judge a being for all eternity in the grand cosmic courts of the universe of universes.
It would seem to me that if an iniquitous person is beyond redemption, he would be judged as being cosmically insane, and like a rabid dog or a crazed animal, the most reasonable action would be taken to make sure that the evil is ended. The elimination of such a threat by the quickest and most merciful method would be desirable for all concerned.
However, what if a person who has a decent soul had been twisted by upbringing, negative influences, and other forces beyond his control to act in abominable ways? If, in fact, that was the case, retribution would be unjustifiable, an evil deed in itself. Such a person, by being re-educated and awakened to spiritual values could transform himself into a respectable individual, a cosmic citizen who would feel just as much love towards everyone else as much as his own family. No amount of punishment by others would compare to the remorse and self-loathing he would experience because of the extreme amount of horror that he would feel after realizing that, in effect, he had tortured and inflicted excruciating pain to his own family and loved ones. Such a person would voluntarily spend the rest of eternity in atoning for his misdeeds. He would willingly pay for his crimes by becoming a force for good.
For most of us, I have no doubt that life will continue after our material body has been slated for the junk heap. The question is, what can you get in return for your old clunker? What's the trade-in value?
Don't try to talk the "car dealership" into getting more than what you're worth. They know all about you. Just keep your mouth shut and you may be surprised to find that you had underestimated yourself. Whatever it may turn out to be,  rest assured, it will be better than the old model. But if you're worried, you're already on the wrong track. Don't be concerned about trading in for something spiffy. After all, we're not really talking about a new automobile. Plus you still have your life and lots of things you need to do. It's the now that matters. And when you identify with eternal values in the now, and the now is realized and actualized on the deepest level, the now becomes the fractal pattern for the eternal.

What Can We Take With Us?

Obviously, we cannot take our material possessions with us. And any baggage attached to our old vehicles will become as dust. Even accomplishments such as works of art, business deals, public service and good deeds,
unless they result in eternal, spiritual values will be lost. In other words, so-called accomplishments, if done by reason of self-aggrandizement, ego inflation, fear of punishment and desire for material reward would not be part of the universal credit that you will carry with you into eternity.
What you will take with you are all the values of friendships and loving relationships. The fruits of the positive relations that you have chosen and nurtured, including with yourself, your family, friends, strangers and with the Creator, all the sincere service and soulwork that you have done and the progressive movement that you have gained in your Personality's exploration of the length, breadth and depth of true universe reality will be credited to you in your universal bank account for all eternity.
